Iā€™m a licensed psychologist offering integrative psychotherapy that honors each part of you.

I have nearly a decade of experience as a therapist and am fortunate to have trained with many brilliant and respected clinicians. My PhD is in Counseling Psychology, from University of Louisville, where I received in-depth academic and clinical training on mental health, psychosocial development, the process of psychotherapy, and more, and engaged in research on a variety of aspects of psychology and human experience. I completed three additional years of advanced clinical training as a health service psychologist and psychotherapist at Cambridge Health Alliance under the auspices of Harvard Medical School Department of Psychiatry. I opened my private consulting practice in 2020 and my private psychotherapy practice in 2021. You can read more details about my background here.

My Approach to Therapy

In my work, I integrate multiple schools of psychotherapy and research-based approaches to mental health and wellbeing. The initial phase of therapy will be focused on building my understandings of you, the issues you face, and the growth you want to see; during this time, we will also be developing our relationship and your trust in me. Although I am trained in psychiatric diagnosis (and will provide diagnoses for insurance purposes), I am most interested in more holistic/complete conceptualizations of who you are, what is causing your suffering, and what is getting in the way of your self-actualization. These conceptualizations will guide the kind of work we do: In the second phase of therapy, we will collaboratively lay out how sessions will proceed. This may include identifying goals and planning specific types of therapeutic work or we may set up looser structure, depending on your needs. From this point on, my work with each client will be unique. No two therapies are the same. That said, there are some consistencies to my practice. For example, I believe that for psychotherapy to be effective, we must meet at least weekly, except in very rare circumstances. For many people, twice-weekly sessions are ideal, though this might not be manageable for some clients. I recommend reaching out to assess whether my approach would be a good fit for you. I offer free 20-minute consultations by phone or telehealth video session. Additionally, you can read a more detailed review of how I think about and engage in psychotherapy here.

Services Provided

All services are being provided remotely via telehealth (video) or phone for the foreseeable future. I am based out of Massachusetts and licensed in Kansas. I can currently work with individuals who are located in Massachusetts or Kansas, and I may be able to be temporarily licensed to work with individuals in other states during the pandemic.

Individual Psychotherapy

I offer individual weekly or twice-weekly psychotherapy. In special circumstances, I am open to every-other-week work, though research and experience suggest that more frequent psychotherapy is more effective for most clients. I am an out-of-network provider, meaning that if you have a PPO, your insurance may reimburse you for our sessions - I can provide documentation to help with this. I also offer low fee sliding scale sessions. Learn more about my fees here.

Psychosocial Assessment

I offer basic psychosocial assessment to aid with diagnosis, conceptualization, and/or access to care. Assessment structures and fees are dependent on the purpose and time involved - please contact me to discuss. I offer sessions related to letters for gender-affirming care (GAC) at no cost. Read more about GAC letter-writing.

Consultation, Supervision, & Research Collaboration

I offer both case-based consultation and ongoing supervision to clinicians. I also offer didactic training to individuals and institutions across multiple areas of expertise. Additionally, I have dedicated time for work on scholarly endeavors, like research and writing. More information about this part of my work is available here.
